Starting July 1st, the tenth-floor terrace of the Royal Continental transforms into TEN — Drink & Mezé, a tapas-style bar where the Mediterranean becomes the defining element of both the view and the cuisine.

Overlooking the waters of the Gulf of Naples, between the silhouette of Mount Vesuvius and the open sea, TEN will welcome guests through the end of September with a menu designed for sharing, curated by Shaymaa, a Palestinian chef offering an authentic and contemporary interpretation of Levantine tradition.

At the heart of the experience are mezé — small plates meant to be shared — creating a table defined by bold flavors, varied textures, and ingredients familiar across the many shores of the Mediterranean. For millennia, this sea has been a network of landings, crossings, and exchanges: a shared horizon that connects diverse cultures through food, spices, bread, citrus, and the rituals of conviviality.

Classic preparations such as hummus with chickpeas and tahini, roasted eggplant baba ghanoush, tabbouleh with grains, parsley and mint, fattoush with crispy bread and sumac, and spiced falafel are complemented by lesser-known dishes like musakhan, shawarma, mandi scented with cardamom and dried black lime, wheat and meat kibbeh, and freshly fried sambousek. The result is a cuisine built on the balance of grains, vegetables, herbs, spices, and meats, where each dish reflects a broader geography beyond any single territory.
